When you use certain features or services, we will collect and use your personal information to the extent necessary to provide business functions. Except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations or strictly necessary for the realization of relevant functions, you have the right to refuse to provide the relevant information, and such refusal will not affect your normal use of other products or services.
To help you quickly understand our key practices regarding the collection and use of your personal information, we have summarized them in a list. You may click the link below to view the ZWSOFT Personal Information Collection List.
In this Policy, we set forth in turn, for each feature of our products and/or services, the categories of personal information we may collect, the purposes and methods of collection, and the consequences of failing to provide such personal information.
1. Account Registration, Login, and Authentication
1.1 Registration and Login via Phone Number/Email Address
“Account” means the user identity identifier you register or create within the ZWSOFT Account System, which enables you to log in to and use the Account System and the products, services, and features supported thereby. Core services, such as account-based products and AI features, are generally available exclusively to registered account holders. You must register for and log in to your account to fully access such services. During the registration process, you will be required to provide your mobile phone number or email address and create a login password. We will verify your identity by sending a verification code to the mobile phone number or email address you provide.
A mobile phone number or email address is required to log in to the account. If you do not provide one, you will be unable to complete registration or login, and you will not be able to access account-dependent services such as product subscriptions, installation feedback, customized services, certification and training, portal management, and intelligent technology services (including AI features). Basic browsing functions, however, remain available without registration.
1.2 Third-Party Account Login
To enhance login convenience, you may also log in to ZWSOFT products using a third-party account. If you choose to log in with your Apple ID, we will obtain the Apple User Identifier and the basic information you authorize Apple to share for account creation and login. If you choose to log in with your Huawei account, we will obtain the unique identifier associated with it for account binding and login. If you choose to log in with QQ, we will obtain your OpenID or UnionID, together with your avatar and nickname, as authorized by you. If you choose to log in with WeChat, we will obtain your OpenID or UnionID, together with your avatar and nickname, as authorized by you. If you choose to log in with WeCom, we will obtain the user identifier (UserID), corporate identifier (CorpID), and your authorized avatar and nickname from WeCom for enterprise identity verification and login services.
We will only collect information you have authorized us to access, and only to the extent necessary to enable third-party account login functionality. Unless we separately obtain your authorized consent as required by applicable laws, or as otherwise provided by applicable laws and regulations, we will not collect any information beyond what is necessary for login, account binding, and identity verification through the third-party account login feature.
1.3 Verification Code Login and Password Reset
When you choose to log in using a verification code, we will send the code to the mobile phone number or email address you provided for identity verification. The verification code is mandatory information for this login method. If you decline to provide it, you will be unable to use the verification-code login feature, though you may still log in using your password. If you forget your password, you may reset it or recover your account by receiving a verification code via your linked mobile phone number or email address. During this process, we will collect your mobile phone number or email address and the verification code, which are used solely for identity verification and account recovery.
2. AI Features
To provide you with AI features such as OCR recognition, intelligent drawing generation, and intelligent customer service, we may process information that you voluntarily upload, import, input, or submit when using such features. You shall exercise prudent judgment and be solely responsible for the legality, necessity, and authorization basis of the content you upload or input. We will only process the aforementioned information solely to the extent strictly necessary to deliver the relevant features. We will implement appropriate security protection measures in accordance with this Policy and applicable laws and regulations.
You shall exercise caution when uploading or inputting content that contains personal information or sensitive personal information. By providing or disclosing any information to us through the relevant AI features, you represent and warrant that you have obtained full authorization or explicit consent from the relevant personal information subjects in accordance with the law, and that you have the right to provide such information to us for the purpose of delivering the corresponding features. If the content you upload or input contains personal information or sensitive personal information of third parties, you shall ensure that you have fully informed such personal information subjects of the purposes of processing, methods of processing, categories of personal information, and other relevant matters, and have obtained their valid authorization or consent. You shall be solely liable for any disputes or liabilities arising from your failure to obtain lawful authorization.
Provided that the collected data is processed using secure encryption technologies, strictly de-identified, and rendered incapable of re-identifying any specific individual, we may use such data for AI model optimization and continuous algorithmic improvement. We will not use such data for any other purpose without your explicit consent.
2.1 ZWCAD Cloud Collaboration and OCR Recognition Function
When you use the ZWCAD Cloud Collaboration and OCR Recognition feature, you agree that we may collect the drawing files you upload (including text, graphics, and other information contained therein) for the purposes of cloud collaboration, OCR recognition, and model optimization. Unless you have consented to the “use of your data for experience optimization”, we will not retain the original drawings or any intermediate data. If you wish to opt out of data usage for optimization purposes, you may do so by disabling the Enterprise Cloud Drive feature or by toggling off the “Use Data for Experience Optimization” option in the product settings.
2.2 Intelligent Drawing Generation
The Intelligent Drawing Generation feature leverages artificial intelligence algorithms to automatically generate annotations, dimensions, layouts, and other drawing elements based on the design intent or parameters you provide, helping you complete design work more efficiently. To deliver this service, we will collect the drawing requirements you input (e.g., annotation preferences, graphic parameters, dimensioning standards) and any reference drawing files you upload.
We will generate drawing content that meets your requirements via intelligent algorithms based on the information you provide. You retain full control over your input data and the resulting drawings. We store this information temporarily during the service session to enable the Intelligent Drawing Generation feature, and we delete it after the session concludes in accordance with our data retention policies, unless you choose to save the content. If you do not provide drawing requirements or reference drawings, you will be unable to use the Intelligent Drawing Generation feature. However, this will not affect your use of other features of the CAD product.
2.3 Intelligent Customer Service
If you encounter any issues while using ZWSOFT products, services, or AI features—such as feature-related questions, account anomalies, or technical difficulties—you may reach out to our Intelligent Customer Service for assistance. During this process, we will collect the content of your inquiry, your problem description, any relevant screenshots (if applicable), and your account ID (to associate the inquiry with your account and facilitate efficient issue resolution).
Such information will be used solely to respond to and resolve your inquiries through the Intelligent Customer Service feature and to further improve the quality of our customer service. We will de-identify consultation records and will not disclose your personal privacy information. If you do not provide relevant inquiry content, you will not receive a response from the Intelligent Customer Service; however, you may still seek assistance through other channels, such as human customer support.
3. Training and Certification
When you use the ZWSOFT Training and Certification Platform for purposes such as real-name verification, course enrollment, exam registration, exam administration, score inquiry, or certificate issuance, we will collect your full name and national ID number. This information is used for identity verification, exam registration, exam administration, score recording, and certificate generation and distribution.
If you choose not to provide your real-name verification information (including your name and ID number), you may be unable to complete exam registration or obtain the corresponding certificate. However, this will not affect your access to other services that do not require real-name verification.
4. Technical Service Community
When you use interactive features of the ZWSOFT Technical Service Community—such as posting content, commenting, liking, following, or sending private messages—or when you access course learning services, we process your account ID, nickname, avatar, content you actively post or submit (including but not limited to comments, private messages, and questions), records of your likes and follows, course enrollment history, and video viewing activity. This information enables us to provide community interaction functionality, course learning services, account identification, display of interaction history, and community management.
If you do not log in to your account or decline to provide the above information, you may still browse publicly available content within the Technical Service Community. However, you may be unable to use interactive features such as posting, commenting, liking, following, private messaging, or course learning that require authentication.
5. Installation Feedback
When you submit feedback through the installation feedback page after completing product installation, we will collect the information you provide, including your name, email address, phone number, verification code, company name, province/city, job title, industry, and the content of your message. This information is used to receive and process your feedback and messages, contact you, understand your needs, and provide appropriate assistance.
If you do not provide the necessary information, you may be unable to submit feedback or messages, or we may be unable to respond to your inquiries or address your needs in a timely manner.
6. Operational Assurance
To ensure the stable operation of our Services, CAD products, and AI features, to optimize service quality, and to mitigate security risks, we automatically collect certain device and network information when you use our products and services. This information includes IP address, browser type and version, device brand and model, operating system and version, network connection status, carrier information, device time zone, and system language. Such information is used primarily to monitor service performance, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and optimize user experience and AI feature functionality. We do not use this information to identify you personally or to associate it with other personal information.
The information described above is necessary for our operational support functions. If you decline to provide it, we may be unable to guarantee the safe and stable operation of the Services, though you may continue to use core features.
7. Message Notifications
To keep you informed of product updates, event announcements, promotional offers, and other information relating to ZWSOFT products or services, we may send relevant communications to the email address you provided during account registration. If you prefer not to receive such communications, you may unsubscribe using the link or instructions provided in each message.
